Not really a dog but a HOG

I had a ton of fun today designing a HOG FARMER teeshirt design, on my Other cafepress store (kapers)

All American Hogs

of course this design is on all kinds of products, even for the babies.!

Then I decided it was also time to update my Midwestern living, and updated the design that I have had there for a long time, the Iowa Corn (ethanol use) design. Not many people realize this, since they don’t really do research on it..BUT the “ethanol subsidey” that the press is throwing such a fit about does NOT subsidize the Iowa farmer, rather it subsidizes AT THE PUMP so that the ethanol prices can be more competitive with regular fuel. And the bi hullabaloo about the rising cost of food price is more probably due to the rising costs of transporting food than to the “increasing amount of corn” that is used for the production of ethanol. In reality, the acreage devoted to corn had very little if anything to do with the higher costs of food. That was of course, corn that was produced last year. THIS year will be an entirely different story, there most probably will be a huge decrease in the amount of corn produced, due to mother nature.

but anyhow, here is the corn design: (for you users who use ethanol….a biofuel)

Ethanol

ok. all done with my blog for today…

have a good night. Looks like, for once, there won’t be ANY rain in our state tonight!
